Women are their own worst enemies

Women are their own enemies. Write an essay explaining this position from the Blossoms of the Savannah
(This is just a sample of the points- any corrections or addition will be highly appreciated. Thank you)

Stopping retrogressive Cultural practices has been a global priority for years. Such practices include F.G.M and early marriage. To stop this both men and women Should unite but majority of women still support this Negative practices.

Mama Milanoi does not stand with her daughters especially when they needed her.  She is the one that gives over her daughter Taiyo to the Trio women. The plan was to have Taiyo Circumcised before being taken as a wife. Despite knowing her husband plan to marry off her daughter she doesn’t raise or oppose the issue or even warn her daughter. She losses trust from both Resian and Taiyo and they swear not to be like her in marriage.

Women also collaborated with men to oppress the woman folk.  These were Nasila’s three blind mice that didn’t know the world was changing. The enkasakutoni ensured that the girls who were uncircumcised did not get husbands or children. Also, enkaitoyoni spied on uncircumcised young women giving birth. They had their status altered there and then. The Enkamuratani (Circumciser) also was a woman who would never tire wielding her Razor Sharp blade.

When Milanoi sought for help from Simiren’s Wives over Oloisudori issue, they dismissed her. They accused her and the husband of being selective on aspects of Nasila Culture. Yeiyoo- Botorr also insists that if the girls stay with her they might ask for circumcision without coercion. Simiren’s wives are not ready to help her out of her troubles.

Olarinkoi’s Mother also serves in oppressing other women. She had arranged with the enkamuratani to come and do her job, after Resian was strong to withstand the ritual. She had arranged after the ritual, Olarinkoi would take Resian as a wife and together move to Tanzania and settle there.
