Using the Caucasian Chalk circle by Bertolt Brecht for your illustrations,  negate the saying; ‘Blood is thicker than water’-

        i.            Governor and prince Kazbeki are related. The fat prince is a relative of the Governor yet he arranges for acoup. He beheads him.
      ii.            Natella and Michael
Natella, Michaels mother has no motherly affection for him. She abandons her son as she runs for her life.
    iii.            Grusha and Lavrenti.
Laventi cannot stand his ground to host his sister. He instead forces her into a marriage with Jussup to get rid of her.
iv.            Mother — in — law and Jussup
She uses Jussup’s ‘illness” to make money
She wants him to die so that she may not spend more money on baking more cakes
